About Katie

Katie grew up in a small farming town in north central Wisconsin. Her parents gave her the gift of exposing her to the outdoors at a young age. She enjoyed playing in the lush woods of Wisconsin as a child. Most summers her family would take a trip to Colorado to hike and backpack. Thus her love for the western United States developed. She attended Prescott College, where she studied outdoor leadership and environmental studies. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in wilderness leadership and environmental studies and moved to Flagstaff Arizona in 2010.

Katie always has loved people and works well in one on one settings.  Massage therapy seemed to be a perfect addition to her skill set. She attended the Arizona School of Integrative Studies and began her massage career. She also began backpack guiding and doing risk management screening for a trekking company, in conjunction with massage at a physical therapy clinic in Flagstaff and a spa in Sedona.

From here, Katie and her husband Jon moved to California in 2012. She is so thankful for the life experiences she obtained from this move: having her own practice in southern California, working at a chiropractic office in Oakland, as well as an acupuncture clinic in San Francisco.

A love for Flagstaff brought Katie and Jon back in 2017. Shortly after this, Katie's passion for plants evoked a need to study medicinal plants. Attending the Herbal Wisdom Institute in 2019 increased this knowledge and gave her the tools to share the many medicinal properties of plants with others.  In addition, Katie expanded her repertoire to include the hypopressive technique, a core strengthening and restoration method. She is excited to teach people how to improve pelvic health.

She is honored to practice massage therapy, herbalism and hypopressives in Flagstaff.
